Myla's Author's Tea
May 30, 2012
2nd Grade - Author's Tea
Myla was super excited for her 2nd Grade Author's Tea. She picked out her outfit the night before. Ethan had been sick and it didn't look like I was going to be able to attend. Thank goodness for good friends who informed me to not miss this one.
Mrs. Davis spent hours along with Grandma R (her Mom) assembling books with their work and pictures taken throughout the year.
It was beautiful and Myla's eyes lit up when I walked into the room. It made me cry. What a sweet daughter! I just feel so blessed she had a great teacher to be Mom to her during the school days.
Myla's Dance Recital
May 2, 2012
Legacy Center Recital
Advanced Combo Dance Class
Myla loves dancing. She has been dancing for a long time (around the house). Though this is her second dance class. She keeps a perfect beat. We always had fun turning on the radio and watching her dance and then changing the station and see how she quickly flowed into another groove.
Myla's first dance class was Ballet and was very excited when she was chosen to be placed the the teacher approved advanced dance class. I was a little concerned since this was her second dance class if she was going to be able to keep up. Boy, did she ever keep up. Myla really knows her dance. Often would come in before the rest of the class did. Given that is something to work on, but we were so happy that she was able to keep up. A neighbor girl, Emery, and Myla were in the same class and loved it. Two other neighbor girls Whitney and Taylor wanted to attend the performance. My parents were still in town from visiting so Myla was super excited that they were able to come and see her dance. Chad picked up flowers (She was sad last recital when she didn't have any.) Ethan was so proud of Myla as we all were. What a cute little dancer she is!
Myla's 2nd Grade Field Trip
April 23, 2012 -
2nd Grade Field Trip
Salt Lake Planetarium
Myla was really excited to go on this field trip. She was bummed that I wasn't picked to go with her. I had to remind her that other parents need a chance to go with there child. So to make it up to her I let her take my camera. I had her promise this time to get pictures with her in it. Myla is normally very responsible so I was confident that she would bring the camera home. Though I cleared the memory card just in case. She did great and took wonderful pictures.
Myla has been blessed with amazing teachers and Mrs. Davis is incredible. She has a great class where everyone gets along really well.
When she came home. All Myla could talk about were the planets, the bus ride and the park.
It was a great field trip.
