Just one of those days!
Today is one of those days I really wish Chad came home at his normal schedule. Also when I am glad we are not in busy season and it is only 1 late night a week.
8:15 am - Babysitter arrives for E.
8:18 am - Taking M to Gymnastics.
9:10 am - Having a neighbor bring her home so I can be at Bears Scout Camp.
9:30 am - Putting all the energy into 2 1/2 hours one can muster to make camp a blast.
12:10 pm - Come home to crying E with a fever and complaining of ear hurting and wanting his Mommy to hold him.
12:15 pm - Pay the sitters and sending them on their way. Get medicine for E and call his Dr to make an appointment for the second day in a row.
Wait an hour as E sleeps on my chest and drools down my shirt.
1:30 pm - Take E and M to the doctor... AGAIN.
1:50 pm - Dr. comes in, looks at his ears and is shocked that it changed so quickly.
We opt out to do shots instead of oral medicine.
2:30 pm - Head to McDonald's for happy meals and ice cream for getting shots. Stop by Subway for me.
3:30 pm - Get home to a little boy who now will not walk on his legs.
3:35 pm - Eat lunch and try to relax as helping kids.
The rest of the afternoon is a complete blur.
Now 8:00 pm - Chad is home. I am grateful. In another room, Chad now listens to E's little voice share his tales of being brave. He still won't walk on his legs. Makes me wonder if I should have gone with the medicine he hates and won't swallow.
One thing I have learned is E is so me as a sick patient. A little pathetic and tries to smile and act like all is okay. Yet, really just wants someone to take care of him and hold him.
What a day. I am exhausted and tired and afraid tonight might be a long night.
Oh... and he has to go back for his third shot tomorrow.

Oh! Poor little guy. That's so sad that he can't even walk. No fun being sick. I get to do cub scout camp next week. We'll see what I come home to. Wish me luck! Hope you all get to feeling better!
